You and your AI partner face off against an opposing team of two AI players on a beautiful, dark felt table layout. At its core, Mendicot revolves around the critical priority of capturing Tens. There are four Tens in the deck, and whichever partnership captures three or four of these cards wins the round. If a team manages to capture all four Tens, it is declared a Mendicot (clean sweep or Kot), which is the ultimate victory. Each player is dealt 13 cards from a standard 52-card deck. The player to the right of the dealer leads the first trick, and all other players must follow the suit led. If a player has no card of the led suit, they can cut the trick. In Closed Mode, the trump (Hukum) is selected secretly by the dealer at the start and revealed only when a player is unable to follow suit. In Open Mode, the first suit discard of a player who cannot follow suit becomes the trump.
Whether you are playing with Open Hukum or Closed Hukum, strategic card management is essential. The partner AIs are equipped with smart play algorithms that adjust according to the active difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard). AIs will actively discard Tens to you if they see you are winning the trick, or cut with trumps to save a high-value trick. Pay close attention to the log feed on the sidebar to track which cards have been played, and sort your hand periodically to keep your options clear. With standard rules and custom visual options, Mendicot offers endless hours of mental engagement for card game enthusiasts.
Simple Goal
The primary goal in Mendicot is for your partnership to capture more Tens (Mendis) than the opposing team. There are four Tens in the deck. Capturing three or more Tens ensures a win, and capturing all four achieves a Mendicot (Kot).
Work closely with your partner AI by feeding them Tens when they win tricks, and utilize trumps efficiently to secure the win.
How to Play
The trick starts with a leading card. Select and click a card from your hand at the bottom to play. You must follow the led suit if you have it. If you do not have it, you can cut the trick to reveal the hidden Hukum (trump suit) in Closed Mode or establish it in Open Mode. The highest card of the led suit wins the trick unless a trump card is played, in which case the highest trump wins.
Tips for Success
Save your trumps for tricks that contain Tens. If your partner is already winning the trick, you can safely discard your Ten (Mendi) into the pile so it is captured by your team. Keep track of the high cards (Aces, Kings) already played in each suit so you know when your cards are safe to lead.
